Terms and conditions

The rules for using this website. Client projects are covered by their own written agreement.

About these terms#

These terms apply to your use of webappsdev.com (the “website”), operated by WebAppsDev (“WebAppsDev”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

These terms cover the website only. Any design, development, hosting or support work we do for you is governed by a separate written agreement or statement of work. If that agreement and these terms ever conflict, the agreement wins.

Please read the Disclaimer and Limitation of liability sections carefully. They exclude our responsibility to you as far as the law allows. In short: you use this website at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any loss that results from it.

Using the website#

You may use the website for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers or any connected system, or to test its security without our written permission;
  • interfere with its operation, for example by overloading it or introducing malware;
  • copy or harvest content automatically in a way that burdens the website (normal search-engine indexing is welcome);
  • use the contact form to send spam, unlawful content or messages that impersonate someone else.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website, in whole or in part, to protect it or its users.

Content and intellectual property#

The website’s text, articles, design, logo and code are owned by or licensed to WebAppsDev and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own reference, and you are welcome to quote short excerpts from our articles with a link back to the source. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use needs our written permission.

The website uses open-source software and fonts, such as Go, Hugo, Vue, Tailwind CSS, the Inter typeface and Lucide icons. These remain under their own licenses.

Names and logos of other companies and products (for example Google, Google Cloud, Google Workspace, Angular, Vue, PostgreSQL and MongoDB) belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not imply endorsement or partnership.

Information, not advice#

Articles and other content on the website are general information about software development and technology. They are not professional advice for your particular situation, and they may become out of date. Please contact us before relying on them for a business decision.

Descriptions of services, timelines and costs on the website are not offers. A project, its scope and its price are agreed only in a written agreement signed by both parties.

Enquiries#

Sending a message through the contact form does not create a client relationship or oblige either of us to start a project. We may decline any enquiry. We handle the information you send as described in our privacy policy.

The website links to third-party websites and services for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Disclaimer#

The website and all of its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. You use the website, and rely on its content, entirely at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, conditions and representations, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the website or its content will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, accurate, complete or current, that defects will be corrected, or that the website or the servers that host it are free of viruses or other harmful components.

We are not responsible for any decision you make, or any action you take or do not take, based on anything published on the website.

Limitation of liability#

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WebAppsDev and its owners, employees, contractors and suppliers are not liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with the website. This applies to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary and punitive loss or damage, including loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, goodwill or business opportunity, and whatever its cause, including:

  • your use of, or inability to use, the website or the contact form;
  • errors, omissions or out-of-date information in any content;
  • interruptions, delays, outages or the website being unavailable;
  • viruses or other harmful components, or unauthorized access to or alteration of the website or of information sent through it;
  • the content, products, services or practices of any third-party website or service, including those linked from the website.

This applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or any other legal theory, and even if we were told such loss or damage was possible. If, despite the above, we are found liable for anything, our total liability for all claims relating to the website is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be disclaimed or certain liability to be excluded, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Indemnity#

If you use the website in breach of these terms or the law, you agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees) that result, to the extent permitted by law.

Your data, privacy and cookies#

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we never will. Any information you send us is used only to reply to you and to run our business, as explained in our privacy policy. Our cookie policy explains which cookies the website uses. Both form part of these terms.

Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Changes apply from the moment they are published, so please check this page when you use the website.

Governing law#

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WebAppsDev is established. The courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live.

General#

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the use of the website.
